SWU demonstrates its commitment to sustainable energy and emission reduction through various initiatives, aligning with its "SWU Zero Carbon" vision. While a full 100% renewable energy pledge represents an ambitious long-term goal, the university has already implemented tangible steps towards this objective.
A key step is the installation of a 98 kilowatt-hour (kWh) solar panel system at the Central Library. Presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Cholvit Jearajit, President of Srinakharinwirot University, this initiative supports the broader shift towards electric mobility. By providing incentives and infrastructure for EV use, the university indirectly reduces emissions associated with transportation to and from its campuses, contributing to a cleaner energy ecosystem.
