SI 6.2 Online Tools and Resources for Health Promotion Capaity Building

Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) integrates digital technology into its health promotion strategy through a variety of online tools, platforms, and resources that strengthen health promotion capacity across the campus community. Under SI 6.2, the University provides dedicated applications for wellbeing management, online counseling and advisory services, e-learning resources related to fitness and wellness, and digital systems for monitoring participation and outcomes in health-related programs. These are complemented by innovative online portals and social media–based communities that continuously communicate, engage, and motivate students and staff to adopt healthier lifestyles. Together, these digital initiatives demonstrate that SWU does not treat health promotion as a series of isolated activities, but as an integrated, technology-supported system that expands access, increases continuity of care, and fosters a sustainable health-promoting culture.

1) Applications or online tools specifically designed for health promotion activities

The University uses dedicated digital applications and online platforms to support health promotion. Under the Asok Model, SWU launched “ASOK LIFE CONNECT+”, an online membership system specifically designed to manage member data and activities related to four-dimensional wellbeing (physical, mental, social, and spiritual health). This platform enables participants to register online, track their engagement in wellbeing activities, and receive tailored health-related communication. In addition, the SWU SMILE service provides online psychological counseling and mental-health care, including access to remote support through digital channels and the Well Youth application, further strengthening health promotion via online tools.

2) Digital health promotion resources accessible through the university's network, including e-learning modules for fitness and wellness

SWU provides a comprehensive range of digital health promotion resources that are accessible across the University’s online networks. Health-related initiatives—including student well-being programs and holistic health promotion covering physical, mental, social, and reproductive health—are disseminated through the University’s SDG platform, ensuring broad access to health education content. The Sirindhorn Sports Center complements these efforts by using its website and social media channels to share fitness schedules, instructional materials, and updates for activities such as the “SWU Fit and Firm / SWU Fit Form Fun” programs, enabling students and staff to engage in regular exercise through online communication. Additionally, the University strengthens digital health learning through the SWU Moodle e-learning platform, which offers a dedicated catalogue of health-related courses under the Faculty of Physical Education—such as Personal Fitness, Jogging for Health, Weight Training, Badminton, Health Education, and Life Skills and Safety Education. Together, these digital platforms provide continuous, accessible, and diverse resources that support the development of healthy lifestyles and enhance health promotion capacity within the University community.

3) Virtual trainers or advisors available for health promotion training

The University offers virtual advisory services that function as online “health trainers,” particularly in the area of mental health. Through SWU SMILE, students can register online and receive psychological counseling via virtual sessions, including video-based consultations and remote support channels. Campaigns invite students to consent online and access integrated care for both mental and physical health through the Well Youth application, which connects them with professional psychologists and health advisors in a fully digital format. This combination of online registration, virtual consulting, and app-based counseling demonstrates the presence of virtual advisors that build health-promotion capacity among the student community.

4) Online monitoring and evaluation systems to track progress and outcomes in health promotion initiatives

SWU employs online systems to monitor and evaluate the status and outcomes of its health promotion efforts. Within the mental-health domain, the University uses an online “SWU Smile” mental-health assessment for students, which is accessed via web links and digital forms; this tool is used to screen, monitor, and plan support for students’ psychological wellbeing over time. For community and multi-dimensional wellbeing activities, the ASOK LIFE CONNECT+ platform is designed as an online membership and activity-management system that records participation in four-dimensional wellbeing programs, enabling the Social Services Office to track engagement, analyse patterns, and evaluate the reach of health-related initiatives.

5) Any other innovative online resources developed or utilized by the university for health promotion (please specify).

Beyond specific applications and assessments, SWU uses integrated online portals and digital communities to support health promotion in innovative ways. The Social Services Office (SSO) portal serves as a central gateway that links users to Asok Model activities, community-based wellbeing programs, and related online tools that promote healthier lifestyles and social wellbeing. Additionally, the Sirindhorn Sports Center’s social media presence acts as a dynamic online hub for promoting exercise, recreational sports, and fitness events—such as “SWU Fit Form Fun” classes—engaging students and staff through interactive posts, photos, and announcements that encourage regular physical activity and participation in group exercise. These digital channels complement formal platforms by offering innovative, community-driven online spaces that foster continuous engagement with health promotion.
