8.2.9 Employment practice labour rights

SWU) upholds the rights of all personnel to freedom of association and collective bargaining. The university recognizes the Faculty and Staff Council of Srinakharinwirot University as the representative body that protects and promotes the interests and welfare of all faculty members and staff.

The Council serves as a key platform for communication and collaboration between the university administration and personnel, ensuring fairness, inclusiveness, and transparency in employment practices.

To act as a mediator in fostering justice and guiding society.

Vision
The Faculty and Staff Council is an organization that represents the university community, upholding good governance, intellectual independence, and the ability to provide consultation and recommendations to the university. It also promotes ethics, unity, justice, and a sense of academic community.

Missions

  • To provide suggestions and advice to the University Council and the President on all aspects of university administration.

  • To promote the professional ethics of faculty members and university staff.

  • To foster unity and collaboration among faculty and staff members.

  • To perform other duties as assigned by the University Council or the President.

Through this Council, SWU ensures that all personnel have a collective voice in the university’s decision-making processes, reinforcing the institution’s commitment to fairness, equality, and labour rights.
