8.2.7 Tracking pay scale for gender equity
Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) is committed to maintaining a fair, transparent, and competitive remuneration system that promotes the quality of life for all categories of personnel—including faculty members, researchers, administrative staff, technical staff, and general support staff.
Under the revised salary structure implemented with the new university president in 2024, which remains consistent with the policy framework covering 2021–2025, SWU ensures that compensation reflects employees’ qualifications, experience, and job responsibilities, while maintaining market competitiveness. Faculty salaries are structured across academic ranks—from lecturer to full professor—ensuring that each position is compensated fairly in line with academic rank, performance, and contribution to the university’s mission.
As of 2024, the university’s workforce consists of 38% female and 62% male employees. SWU upholds gender equity in salary and welfare through systematic monitoring and transparent human resource management. The Human Resources Office regularly reviews and tracks pay scales to ensure that all employees—regardless of gender—receive equal pay and benefits for equivalent positions, qualifications, and responsibilities.
In addition, SWU has implemented the Competency Appraisal Manual (Revised Edition, August 2022), which provides clear and standardized criteria for performance evaluation, professional growth, and career development. This manual remains in effect as part of the ongoing policy framework (2021–2025), ensuring equity, fairness, and transparency in all employment and appraisal practices across the university.
Furthermore in 2024, the university’s senior executives emphasize gender equality and awareness of employee rights by actively participating in new staff orientation ceremonies, where they communicate the importance of fair treatment, inclusiveness, and equal access to benefits and opportunities for all employees.
