8.2.6 Employment policy pay scale equity

Personnel are crucial for the efficient and effective operation of the university. SWU recognizes the quality of life and well-being of its personnel, thus setting appropriate entry-level wages that are sufficient for living in Bangkok and Nakhon Nayok, the university's main locations.

Comparing the entry-level wages of SWU employees with the minimum wages in Bangkok and Nakhon Nayok, it is found that SWU pays its personnel an initial wage that is 2.03 and 2.08 times higher than the minimum wage, respectively (the legally mandated minimum wage in Bangkok is 331 baht/day or 9,930 baht/month, and in Nakhon Nayok is 323 baht/day or 9,690 baht/month, while university staff have an entry-level wage of 20,250 baht/month). This demonstrates that the university considers the cost of living and the appropriate quality of life for its personnel. Additionally, the university provides a variety of benefits for its personnel, such as group health and accident insurance, medical expense benefits, tuition fees for children, annual health check-ups, flexible welfare for health promotion, social security fund, provident fund, emergency loans, accommodation, and other appropriate benefits to support the work performance of the university's personnel.

The determination of wages and benefits adheres to the policy of equality, equity, and fairness in human resource management at Srinakharinwirot University. Wages are paid equally based on knowledge and ability, without discrimination or restriction of any direct or indirect benefits based on race, nationality, age, skin color, religion and belief, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or socio-economic background.

This policy is effective from now on.
