8.2.3 Employment policy on discrimination
SWU is a leading academic and professional institution, serving as a learning hub for society. The university’s mission is to develop individuals with both quality and morality, conduct research and innovation that provide sustainable benefits to society, deliver high-quality academic services, uphold social responsibility, preserve arts and culture, and enhance its management systems based on quality and good governance.
The university recognizes the importance of social and environmental harmony in the workplace. Sustainable growth and progress can only be achieved when all individuals work together with mutual understanding, trust, respect, and appreciation for equality and diversity.
To foster unity and inclusivity among personnel, the university has established policies and operational guidelines grounded in respect for human rights and the principles of equality, with a strong commitment to promoting fairness, justice, and inclusiveness in the workplace.
No discrimination or limitation of rights and benefits shall occur, directly or indirectly, on the basis of race, nationality, age, color, religion or belief, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, or socioeconomic background.
The following guidelines have been established for all university personnel:
Awareness and Appreciation of Equality and Diversity
Recognize and value the importance of equality, diversity, and inclusiveness to ensure fairness in all practices.
Mutual Respect and Non-Discrimination
Treat one another with respect and dignity, ensuring equal participation and opportunities for everyone in the workplace.
Fair and Equal Employment Practices
Ensure fairness and equality in all human resource processes — including recruitment and selection, performance evaluation, training and development, career progression, benefits, and welfare.
Legal and Ethical Employment Standards
Adhere to lawful and fair employment practices, strictly prohibiting forced labor, slavery, child labor, human trafficking, and any form of physical or psychological abuse.
Fair Treatment of Outsourced Personnel
Ensure that outsourced employees are treated equitably and compensated appropriately by their employers, based on transparent and fair selection and hiring criteria.
Gender Expression and Inclusivity
Allow all individuals, regardless of gender identity or sexual orientation, to dress appropriately and respectfully according to personal identity without restriction to their biological sex.
Prevention of Sexual Harassment
Work collectively to prevent and address sexual harassment in the workplace, ensuring a safe, respectful, and supportive working environment for all.

The current administration since 2024 continues to prioritize the protection against workplace discrimination within Srinakharinwirot University by ensuring that all personnel, at every level, are treated with dignity and equality. The university regularly organizes training sessions on legal awareness and human resource development to promote understanding and respect for human rights and equality across all sectors.
