Free Drinking Water Provided
The university offers free drinking water at various locations, including student dormitories, staff residences, the club building, general academic buildings, and essential facilities. Standard-quality water filtration systems are installed to ensure safe drinking water for consumption. In addition, many faculty buildings provide drinking water dispensers for students and staff. Provision of Drinking Water Services for Students and Staff, Faculty of Science

The Faculty of Science, Srinakharinwirot University, recognizes the importance of ensuring good health and well-being for students, staff, and visitors. To support this, the Faculty has implemented a project to install 30 hot–cold water dispensers with high-quality filtration systems, strategically located across three main faculty buildings: Building 10, Building 15, and Building 19. This ensures convenient and equitable access to clean and safe drinking water for everyone in the community.

In addition to convenience, the project promotes safe consumption habits and environmental sustainability by encouraging students and staff to bring their own refillable bottles, thereby reducing single-use plastic waste. This initiative is strongly aligned with the Green University concept that the university continuously advocates.

This service also directly supports several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

  • SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being: Access to clean drinking water reduces health risks from unsafe consumption.

  • SDG 6 Clean Water and Sanitation: Ensuring safe and reliable water through quality filtration systems.

  • SDG 12 Responsible Consumption and Production: Reducing single-use plastics and minimizing waste.

The Faculty of Science firmly believes that this initiative will enhance the quality of life for all students and staff, while serving as a model for advancing sustainable development in higher education. It also aims to inspire positive changes for society and the environment in the future.
