Wastewater Management at SWU

Currently, the wastewater drainage system at the university is managed by individual buildings. This is because most buildings on campus house laboratories, which are responsible for controlling their own wastewater quality standards before discharge into the university's main wastewater system. The university's wastewater system further manages water quality by introducing microorganisms (bioaugmentation) to treat the water within the university's water sources.
