4.3.4 Education outreach activities beyond campus

SWU Volunteer Center

Through participation in volunteer projects and outreach programs, students cultivate essential competencies such as:

  1. SLOPE Program (Student Leadership and Organizational Performance Excellence)

The SWU Volunteer Center participated in the SLOPE program, 4–5 November 2023 and 27 January 2024, a national-level initiative designed specifically for student leaders of various organizations. The program aims to enhance key competencies in strategic thinking, organizational development, and effective leadership. During the sessions, students engaged in hands-on learning, knowledge exchange, and networking with leaders from diverse institutions. The program provided opportunities to develop both practical skills and strategic insights necessary for leading student organizations effectively. SLOPE was conducted in a hybrid format, combining on-site sessions for intensive training and online follow-ups over three months for continuous project development and skill reinforcement. This program was organized in collaboration with the U.S. Exchange Alumni Association (TUSSA) and the U.S. Embassy in Thailand, offering students exposure to international best practices in leadership and organizational management.

  1. SWU Save the World: “SWU Cares for the Planet”

The "SWU Save the World" project, April 1–June 28, 2024, aims to raise environmental awareness among university students and encourage sustainable practices. Students engage in both short-term actions and long-term behavioral changes that promote environmental stewardship through a series of hands-on activities and volunteer initiatives.

The project's influence goes beyond the confines of the university campus. By cultivating a sense of responsibility toward the environment, students are encouraged to adopt sustainable habits in their daily lives.   1. The SWU GOOD LIFE Project

The SWU Good Life Project, September 12– December 12, 2024, engaged students in creative sustainability initiatives aimed at waste reduction, recycling, and promoting environmentally friendly lifestyles. Over 80% of students actively engaged in the project. More than 500 kg of paper was prevented from disposal or destruction.
