4.3.2 Public events (lifelong learning)
In 2024, SWU organised various public-facing events under the banner of SDG 4 Quality Education — ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. On SWU’s SDG webpages it is reported that there are 21 Projects under SDG 4 for the year 2024. sdg.swu.ac.th
These events span across multiple faculties and target different age groups and community segments — for example, the faculty of science hosted the “Igniting Brilliance in You Camp” for highschool students, team teaching and online intercultural exchanges; the Faculty of Fine Arts organised public art and performance events that integrated academic service with community participation. sdg.swu.ac.th
Through these events, SWU actively provides non-formal learning opportunities and engagement settings for the public (beyond enrolled students) to learn, participate and acquire new skills. This demonstrates the University’s commitment to creating inclusive public learning events that align with the lifelong-learning dimension of SDG 4.
