2.5.1 Access to food security knowledge

Personnel of Bodhiwitthayalai College organized activities to promote sustainable agricultural land management by improving unused areas within the college to make them productive agricultural spaces. Organic waste was used to produce organic compost fertilizer, helping to reduce waste burning, minimize air pollution, and promote biodiversity of beneficial soil microorganisms. The initiative also increased green areas and organic farming zones for the sustainable production of organic vegetables and homegrown produce.

In addition, an integrated learning activity under the Organic Agriculture course was conducted to develop an organic rice field during the academic year 2567 (2024). A total of 21 students participated in producing organic rice with care and precision, supporting sustainable agricultural practices and sustainable land use. The project utilized bio-organic fertilizer derived from water hyacinth to promote rice growth and planted leguminous crops in the field to maintain soil fertility and organic matter. These practices contribute to soil conservation, restoration, and the overall sustainability of the agricultural ecosystem.
