17.4.2 Education for SDGs: specific courses on sustainability

SWU offers multiple dedicated courses and degree programmes that address sustainability and the SDGs through the International College for Sustainability Studies—for example: B.A. in Sustainable Hospitality & Tourism Management, B.Sc. in Environmental Technology & Resources, and B.A. in Integrated Tourism Management. Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) recognizes the importance of being a University for Society, which forms the foundation for establishing the Faculty of Environmental Culture and Ecotourism. This faculty is dedicated to providing education in sustainability, fostering graduates, alumni, and social networks that promote environmental, educational, and social sustainability awareness.

In 2024, SWU expanded its sustainability education initiatives through foundation courses, elective subjects, and full-degree programs that integrate sustainability and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across the university. These programs encourage collaborative learning and community engagement, enabling students to work alongside alumni, faculty members, and local communities to drive societal sustainability.
