SWU Strengthening International Collaboration on Education Data Gathering and Best Practice Development through the Fourth SWUICE

The Faculty of Education at Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) is proud to have hosted the Fourth Srinakharinwirot University International Conference on Education (SWUICE 2024). This important academic gathering brought together educators, researchers, and policymakers from Thailand and abroad, offering a platform to share advanced knowledge in education, exchange best practices, and collaboratively address the challenges of providing high-quality, inclusive, and lifelong education opportunities and its cross-cutting role in advancing other Sustainable Development Goals.

At the core of SWU’s commitment is SDG 4: To ensure inclusive, equitable, and high-quality education while promoting lifelong learning opportunities for all. Because quality education underpins efforts to eradicate poverty, advance environmental sustainability, and foster peace, Srinakharinwirot University collaborates with international educators and researchers to strengthen teacher training, expand lifelong learning, and enhance equity in education systems. In this effort, the University participates in international collaboration on gathering and measuring education data, while also sharing best practices that strengthen evidence-based policymaking and advance the Sustainable Development Goals.

International Collaboration on Data Gathering for Education

Through SWUICE 2024, SWU facilitated opportunities for international collaboration in gathering and measuring education-related data. Participants examined comparative approaches to inclusive education, teacher training, and lifelong learning, while also sharing locally grounded research findings. The conference provided a venue to collectively explore how data on access, quality, and equity in education can be mobilized to support evidence-based policymaking.

Strengthening Global Networks for Sustainable Development

The conference underscored the role of international collaboration in knowledge exchange and policy advancement. Srinakharinwirot University works closely with international educators and researchers to strengthen teacher training, expand access to lifelong learning, and generate policy-relevant knowledge for equity in education. By engaging partners across borders, SWU contributes to building a global mindset among educators and researchers, ensuring that the impacts of educational practices are understood not only locally but within wider regional and global contexts.

Looking ahead, Srinakharinwirot University affirms its dedication to producing quality teachers, advancing education research, and facilitating knowledge sharing across borders. SWUICE 2024 stands as a clear demonstration of how universities can play a vital role in measuring progress toward SDG 4 and in shaping policies that foster equitable and sustainable education worldwide.
