16.2.1 Elected representation

In 2024, Srinakharinwirot University marked an important year by providing opportunities for its personnel and students to exercise their rights in nominating candidates for administrative positions and electing representatives to serve on the Council of Faculty and Staff. This initiative reflects the University’s commitment to promoting participation in institutional governance and ensuring transparency and shared accountability within the University.

In 2024, Srinakharinwirot University ensured elected representation of employees through its Council of Faculty and Staff. The Council President is chosen via a formal election by academic staff, and the Council serves as a key mechanism for communication between personnel and university leadership. It conveys policies, raises concerns, and represents the rights and interests of faculty and staff, including issues of welfare, working conditions and organisational development. This structure provides a democratic channel for participation in decision-making and reflects SWU’s commitment to accountable and inclusive governance.
