13.2.1 Low-carbon energy tracking

Srinakharinwirot University systematically tracks its campus-wide carbon footprint and energy-related emissions through the SWU Carbon Neutrality framework and associated online reporting. The “SWU Carbon Neutrality by 2040” agreement, published on the university’s rankings website, establishes a formal cooperation mechanism between the central administration and all faculties, colleges and offices, with explicit objectives to manage the carbon footprint of all units and to build a unified institutional database of greenhouse gas emissions. This framework requires participating units to record core operational data — including building infrastructure, power management, waste and water management — as the basis for calculating the university’s emissions profile and monitoring progress towards carbon neutrality. In addition, the same web platform presents communication on carbon assessment activities and a dedicated “SWU Carbon Footprint Report” section, indicating that the measurement and reporting of energy-related emissions are being consolidated and made publicly accessible. Together, these arrangements demonstrate that SWU measures and tracks low-carbon energy and related greenhouse gas emissions across the whole institution, supported by documented procedures and publicly available evidence.
