11.4.8 Planning development - new build standards
Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) is strongly committed to developing sustainable infrastructure through an integrated and holistic approach. The university has established the Service Standards and Design Manual, developed by the Planning and Strategy Division, Office of the President, to serve as a guiding framework for all new construction and development projects.
This manual outlines clear standards for architectural design, spatial planning, and construction details—covering aspects such as entrances, sanitary systems, materials selection, and decorative elements—to ensure that every project plan is comprehensive, functional, and aligned with long-term sustainability goals.

In every new construction or renovation project, SWU explicitly incorporates design and construction requirements into the Terms of Reference (TOR) to ensure full compliance with the Building Control Act of Thailand and adherence to recognized sustainable development and green building principles. Through this commitment, the university ensures that all new builds meet high standards of safety, accessibility, environmental responsibility, and long-term value for the campus and community.
