10.6.7 Accessible facilities

Srinakharinwirot University ensures campus accessibility through its Physical Development Office, which designs and maintains facilities for people with disabilities, including reserved parking spaces, ramps, handrails, accessible restrooms, Braille signage in elevators and clearly marked accessible pathways across campus. In addition to the built environment, the University provides dedicated support through the SWU Disability Support Services (DSS) Center, which offers academic and examination accommodations, accessible learning resources, life guidance and counselling, and career preparation services. A satisfaction survey of students with special needs in the 2024 academic year reported very high satisfaction levels: 4.78 for academic and exam-related assistance, 4.66 for learning-resource accommodations, 4.69 for life guidance and counselling, and 4.84 for career counselling and preparation. Overall satisfaction with DSS support reached 4.74 out of 5, equivalent to 94.8%, indicating that accessible facilities and support services at SWU are both available and effectively meeting the needs of students with disabilities.
