10.6.4 Anti-discrimination policy
Srinakharinwirot University has a formal Policy on Equality, Equity and Fairness in Human Resource Management (updated 2 December 2021), which functions as the university-wide anti-discrimination policy. The policy affirms respect for human rights and explicitly prohibits any direct or indirect discrimination on the grounds of race, nationality, age, colour, religion or belief, gender identity, sexual orientation, marital status, disability, and socio-economic background. It requires equal and fair treatment in all stages of the employment and academic life cycle, including recruitment and selection, appointment, performance evaluation, training and development, career progression, benefits and welfare. The policy also bans forced labour, child labour, human trafficking and all forms of physical or psychological abuse, mandates equal and fair treatment of outsourced workers, recognises the right of all genders and gender-diverse staff to dress in line with their gender identity, and commits the University to preventing and addressing sexual harassment in the workplace.
