10.6.3 Access to university underrepresented groups recruit

Srinakharinwirot University actively identifies and monitors underrepresented groups in its student body, with specific attention to students with disabilities and students whose permanent residence is in the three southern border provinces of Thailand (Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat). The University’s admissions and student records systems tag these students and generate annual statistics by faculty to support inclusive recruitment and planning. In the 2024 academic year, SWU enrolled 4 students with disabilities (2 male and 2 female) and 64 students from the three southern border provinces (20 male and 44 female) across multiple faculties. The existence of this systematic data collection and disaggregation demonstrates that SWU not only opens access to these underrepresented groups but also tracks their participation by faculty to inform future outreach and support measures.
