ZT 2.2 Prevalence of Alcohol Consumption Among Students and Personnel

The prevalence of alcohol consumption among the total university population at Srinakharinwirot University is 0.21%, based on 76 individuals who reported drinking alcohol out of a combined student-and-staff population of 36,498 individuals. This prevalence rate is calculated from a university-wide, anonymous, cross-sectional survey conducted between September 2024 and February 2025, using rigorous two-stage random sampling that included 300 students and 300 staff. The survey methodology ensures data accuracy, anonymity, and representativeness across academic clusters, campuses, and personnel categories. The validated dataset confirms that alcohol use—while the most prevalent risk behavior within the survey sample (12.67%)—represents only 0.21% of the overall University population when applied to institutional totals (GI5 + GI6).
