The smoking and vaping prevalence among the Srinakharinwirot University population was calculated using the total number of individuals who self-reported cigarette or e-cigarette use in the university-wide cross-sectional survey conducted between September 2024 and February 2025. According to the Smoking and Vaping Prevalence Report, 20 respondents (14 students and 6 staff) reported smoking or vaping behaviours. When compared against the total university population—comprising 30,137 students (GI5) and 6,361 staff members (GI6), a combined population of 36,498—the prevalence rate is 0.055%. This extremely low prevalence reflects the effectiveness of the University’s tobacco control measures and aligns with the survey’s findings, which indicate that the vast majority of respondents reported no engagement in tobacco-related risk behaviours.

Final Smoking & Vaping Prevalence = 0.055%
