SWU ensures compliance with SI 2.1 Safety Regulations and Standards for Buildings and Infrastructure by enforcing formal safety policies, building and facility standards, and systematic incident reporting across the campus. The university maintains safety regulations for buildings, common areas, traffic routes, and sports/activity spaces, together with on-site security officers and an emergency response system (SWU Clinic, referral hospitals, and rescue units).

To support continuous improvement, SWU collects and analyses data on accidents and safety-related incidents occurring on campus. These records are used for risk assessment, environmental and infrastructure adjustments, and preventive measures for students, staff, contractors, and visitors.
