Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) actively promotes healthy sleep habits and mindfulness practices through structured programs integrated into the University’s holistic well-being model. Under the ASOK Model – Integrated Development for Urban Well-Being, the University provides regular activities designed to enhance relaxation, emotional balance, and mental clarity.
A key initiative is the recurring “Yoga & Sound Healing” program, held at the Wichchanitron Room, Prasarnmit Building (Building 3). The sessions are open to all students and staff and conducted weekly by certified instructors. The program combines mindfulness-based yoga, which improves physical flexibility and encourages calmness and concentration, with sound healing therapy, which helps regulate internal energy, reduce stress, induce deep relaxation, and promote better sleep quality. These activities offer a restorative environment that supports both mental and physical recovery after academic or work-related stress.
Participants join through an online registration and check-in system, and the sessions are consistently scheduled in the early evening to reinforce healthy routines before rest. The ASOK Model continuously promotes these mindfulness-based and sleep-supportive practices through its public communication channels, reinforcing the University’s commitment to enhancing overall well-being and supporting healthier lifestyle habits among its community.
