Srinakharinwirot University (SWU) implements a comprehensive mental health assessment system through SWU SMILE, the University’s central counseling and psychological support service under the Division of Student Affairs. The program provides structured psychological screening, counseling, and follow-up evaluations for students, ensuring early identification and timely intervention for mental-health needs.
In the most recent reporting cycle, 276 students received formal mental-health counseling services, with a total of 330 counseling sessions delivered by professional counselors at SWU SMILE. These sessions include mental-health assessments, emotional-well-being evaluations, individualized counseling plans, and referrals to specialized services when needed.
The scope and utilization of the SWU SMILE program demonstrate that the University offers a well-established mental-health assessment system with ongoing monitoring, professional counseling support, and accessible pathways for students seeking help. This aligns with the criteria for a comprehensive mental-health assessment program under HP 2.2.
